Mission
To
unify and empower members of our community
by: uplifting and encouraging positive black male figures, celebrating
activism within our generation, and motivating younger members of the
black community to reject stereotypes and prevail as leaders.
Our Goal
To
first,
acknowledge and reveal the need for change in our community in order to
build cohesion and pursue change. The King Campaign coordinators hope to
achieve goals by following the 4-step program below:
Acknowledgement
Exposing the issues and statistics that prohibit black men from receiving the proper education and identifying the lack of education as a problem in need of attention and repair.
Endurance
Promoting and creating positive communication opportunities for men and
women in the community.
Collaboration
Bringing
all races and ethnic groups together for the celebration
and advancement of the Black community.
Change
Initiating and implementing
community service projects: as well as researching retention programs and re-population
efforts for the Black
community.
